I recently met with my pastor and we talked about praise and worship. We discussed that we know how to praise God when we are going through something, but he made a good point. He asked me, “but can you still praise God when things are going well?” His question brought it to my attention that sometimes we overlook the many things that God has blessed us with, so today’s blog is all about just giving God thanks.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 simply says, “give thanks in all circumstances; for this God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Can we do that today? Can we just give God thanks no matter what circumstance we may be in? I know we’re looking forward to the amazing lunch/dinner that will be on the table, but don’t forget to give thanks for the many blessings around the table.
Thank God for everything, big and small. Why? Because he didn’t need to bless us, yet he did and I’m grateful.
This Thanksgiving I am most thankful just to be here. I’m thankful for my life and the amazing people in it.
I’m also thankful for you, Beloved. I pray that you are able to give thanks in every circumstance. I pray that you know that you matter, you are thought of, and you are loved. I pray that you have an amazing thanksgiving.
Have a great day and know that you are beloved.
